  • 1 ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 7-8 curry leaves
  • fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by washing and cleaning ⅓ cup toor dal. Soak the dal in water for about 2 hours to soften it.

Cooking

Tempering

  • In another pot, heat 1 tbsp ghee over medium heat. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds. Then add the 7-8 curry leaves and allow them to fry until fragrant.
