Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 6 tbsp corn flour
  • 12 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cups milk
  • 5 cups milk
  • 120 grams dark chocolate
  • vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Cocoa Mixture

  • In a small bowl, combine 6 tbsp cocoa powder, 6 tbsp corn flour, and 12 tbsp sugar. Add 1 cups milk to the bowl and mix until the mixture is smooth and uniform.

Combine Mixtures to Milk

  • In a large pot, pour in the remaining 5 cups milk. Heat the milk over medium flame, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a boiling point.
  • Once the milk is boiling, gradually add the cocoa mixture while continuously stirring to prevent lumps from forming.
  • Continue to cook the mixture on medium heat, stirring frequently, until it darkens in color and thickens slightly.
  • At this stage, add 120 grams dark chocolate to the pot. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and incorporated into the mixture.

Cool Down

  • Once everything is well combined and melted, turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. After it has cooled, place it in the refrigerator for about 3-4 hours until it is nice and cold.

Serve

  • When ready to enjoy, serve your Cold Coco in glasses topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra touch of sweetness.
